Spicy Pork Chops

You may have realised by now that we love using spices in our cooking. We also love experimenting, and through such an afternoon spent in the kitchen, our spicy pork chops came to be.

The soy sauce means this isn’t gluten free, but if you’ve got a way to make it so, let me know!

Spicy Pork Chops

Pork chops (1 per person)
Soy sauce
Lemon juice
Vegetable oil
Spices – we use chilli powder, cayenne pepper, garlic salt and paprika

The best way to really infuse the flavours is to marinade the pork chops overnight. To make the marinade, combine 2-3 tbsp of soy sauce (depending on your preference), 2-3 tbsp lemon juice, and spices.

Lay the pork chops in a roasting tray, pour the marinade over, ensuring the chops are covered, and chill in the fridge overnight (tip: if you can’t marinade overnight, try marinading for at least an hour.)

Splash some vegetable oil in a griddle pan and put on a high heat. Add the pork chops one at a time and cook for approx. 5 mins either side, or to your preference.

Serve with wedges and coleslaw, or salad, or mash, or chips – anything goes, really! These chops are full of flavour without being overly spicy.
