Welcome back to the Cornish Reading Challenge!
Last year, we had amazing book reviews, recommendations, and some fabulous authors got involved, giving away copies of their books and telling us why they love Cornwall. After running a poll once the challenge was over, I am so pleased to say that it was a huge success, and everyone who got involved wanted it to happen again. So this year, we’re doing it again; but we are doing things a little differently.
This year’s Cornish Reading Challenge will only run for two weeks, from the 5th of March (St Piran’s Day, of course!) until the 19th of March. I’ve shortened the challenge for a few reasons, one of which is that I want a shorter, more concentrated time spent on enjoying and celebrating all things Cornish. I also want to create a buzz on social media, get more people involved, and just focus on the challenge.
I’m also extending the challenge to involve all of the West Country. From Bristol to Bude, Paignton to Plymouth, let’s celebrate one of the most beautiful areas of our country. Tell me why you love the south west on Twitter, or leave a comment on the blog. Let me know which book you’ll be reading, and don’t forget to share your book selfie!
We’ll have authors and giveaways, reviews, recommendations and guest posts, and I guarantee it’ll be a lot of fun. Who’s with me? Grab a pasty, and get involved with the Cornish Reading Challenge 2016!
