Vikki Patis is an author, blogger, and writer. She has written many articles for several companies, including The Book Bag, Fancy Fresher, Food Discovery Box, and ReadWave, before it closed down in December 2015. She currently writes for Lovereading.co.uk, reviewing books, interviewing authors, and giving her own opinion on a wide range of topics.
She has two published works: I Ink, Therefore I Am, her BSc dissertation which explores the impact of tattoos on an individual within society, and Weltanschauung, a collection of short stories, which is available on Kindle and in paperback. Her debut novel, The Diary, was acquired by Bookouture in March 2018, and is due out in 2019.
Vikki lives in Hertfordshire, though, as a true West Country maid, her heart remains in Plymouth. The Cornish Reading Challenge, which has just celebrated its third year, featured interviews with several authors, including Jane Johnson and Liz Fenwick, as well as exciting giveaways. The challenge was also supported by Lovereading, Trip Fiction, and Falmouth Bookseller, and many people submitted their reviews and recommendations, making it a brilliant success.
Aside from book reviews, The Bandwagon is also passionate about feminism, women’s rights, body-positivity, politics, and other hot topics. Female authors and guest bloggers are particularly welcome to share their stories on The Bandwagon. The For Choice Project was created as a way of women sharing their abortion stories anonymously. Vikki was diagnosed with Perthes Disease aged 4, and Fibromyalgia in 2016, and so she regularly writes about her experience with chronic illness. The Bandwagon is always open to guest posts – please email firstname.lastname@example.org to submit your post.
When she isn’t writing or working, Vikki loves reading, baking cakes, and drinking tea, preferably all at the same time, with a cat by her side. You can find her lurking on Twitter: @VikkiPatis.
